Convergence of Three Core IT Technologies, Virtualization, Grid and SOA
AgentOS™ is an agent based operating system which merges together three separate distributed computing technologies. The first is application virtualization, which breaks the traditional bond between software and the computer hardware upon which it runs. The second being grid computing, which provides for the optimized execution of an application across a large number of low cost machines. Last is a service oriented architecture (SOA), which incorporates a highly reusable component model based upon autonomous mobile agents. Using AgentOS™ modular applications can be quickly assembled from business services on-demad, anywhere on a heterogeneous network. Because all of the programming logic for a given service is encapsulated within a single mobile agent, software development and maintenance costs are greatly reduced. All of these technologies, when combined, provide a significant cost savings to an enterprise. Click here to download an AgentOS product overview.

Set Your Software Free!
Break the boundaries imposed by your existing J2EE architecture. Ever since the first "stored program" was created back in the 1960's, software has been written to run on, and deployed to, a specific host computer. AgentOS™ breaks that age old restriction, enabling software components to move freely about a heterogeneous computer network. These autonomous mobile agents attach themselves to available host processors using our patented technique for process relocation and optimized execution. This allows applications to be dynamically assembled on-demand from reusable business services, using any available host processors on the network. AgentOS is a high performance distributed computing infrastructure that is perfectly suited for building computationally intense applications such as data mining, predictive modeling, and automated decisioning systems.
"Zero Middleware" Product Architecture
AgentOS™ is based upon a patented "zero middleware" product architecture which eliminates any single point of failure. The micro kernel, which is the heart of the agent based operating system, incorporates a server daemon, object request broker, message passing interfaces, and a low level process management facility. Built around this central core, are a set of modularized components which handle resource utilization, task scheduling, dispatching, process migration, environmental monitoring, load balancing, failover and inter-agent communications. Unlike existing cluster based distributed computing environments, where the loss of a single server would cause a significant degradation in data processing capability, AgentOS™ is designed to run on a large number of low cost machines, such as blade servers. In addition our innovative product architecture eliminates any need for older enteprise infrastructure products, including application servers and message oriented middleware.
